Saffron Toucanet occurs in the Atlantic Forest in south-eastern Brazil, eastern Paraguay, and north-eastern Argentina. Pteroglossus bailloni is saffron yellow, which is unique among the toucans. It is mostly a frugivore, although it also robs nests of other birds, stealing eggs and nestlings. Saffron Toucanet is a Near-threatened species.
